Dear Bob,
reading your reflection on Fr.Q.reminded me of how my own Dad waited for the presence of one of his prodigal sons, before He could move on to His room in the Mansion! I also appreciate your recollection of Your "BEING SLAIN IN THE SPIRIT" as an altar server! Sharing these personal stories can certainly have profound effects! I think this is a great service you are providing for all of us!

Sincerely,

BillG.

Hi Suzanne,
It sounds like you had a couple of nice, cleansing cries for yourself. Congratulations. Tears of love are beautiful gifts.

"I just want my Daddy!" is such a beautiful sentiment that I wish everyone who still has a Daddy read and experiences through your words. Now is the time to love our Dad's and Mom's if we're still fortunate enough to have them with us.

I appreciate your feedback very much.

Merry Christmas!

Bob, reading your description of how Fr. Oullette looked when you visited brought tears to my eyes. I know that look. Although it's been just over a year the memory of my own father with the same look, less the tubes since he was in hospice, and the rattly sound of his breathing are seared in my memory. I know that condrum of prayer - the adult in me prayed that God would take him and end his suffering, but the little girl in me prayed "please I just want my Daddy!" Typing that brought me to tears again. In the end, God does know best and He took him in His time.

What a blessing he was for you and your parish! What a wonderful thing that you can be such a great witness to his wonderful gifts. Thank you for sharing.
